It is one of those rare times when I don’t have anything new to show you. It is not that I haven’t been busy, but I don’t have any paintings to show you yet. I am working on another Time Traveler, another Galveston Trolley and some Shelf Art commissions. In the middle of all of that, we had a wonderful holiday, great visits with family and just this past week, we have a new addition to the family, making me a great grandma!
I am also working on my You-tube channel. I will let you know when I post the first video. There a lot of moving parts to making a video and posting it on You Tube, so I doubt that this will happen tomorrow. My goal is to get more people interested in following up on their interest in their creative side. I want to breakdown the process in small achievable sections. I am a firm believer in the visual pathway to learning. I know that not all people learn this way, but I have seen so many videos that I consider over-taught and filled with unnecessary verbiage. I am going to use at the comment section -Q & A and what explanations are important to the viewer. As I get more proficient at making videos, I will use “voice over” enhance the learning process.
I want to help older adults realize that acting on their creative impulses and sharing them with others helps grow their brains. Gene Cohen, a psychologist started the research on how Create & Share actually grows the brains’ flexibility as we age.
Hopefully by next month I will have completed Time Traveler II. Take care, and please send me your thoughts: tylerstuidio1201@gmail.com
